Zandronum - Multiplayer ZDoom

You need a copy of Doom or Doom II (or Heretic, Hexen, Strife) to play Zandronum. If you don't have the game, Steam and GOG sells them for about $5 - $15 each.
If you install the Steam version, Zandronum should find it automatically. If the game fails to detect or you are using a non Steam version, you can copy it's IWAD file to your Zandronum directory.

How to Install

On Windows - Installer

Download and run the installer.
Locate your IWADs. Note that if you have the steam version of any of the games, skip this step.
Run Zandronum and play the game, or run Doomseeker and jump in a server! No additional program configuration required.
- If you are playing online, it is recommened to configure your player settings in OPTIONS -> PLAYER SETUP, and your key configuration in OPTIONS -> CUSTOMIZE CONTROLS / MOUSE OPTIONS.

On Windows - Archive

Extract Zandronum from the archive, either through Windows Explorer or with your extraction tool of choice to any folder.
Locate your IWADs. Note that if you have the steam version of any of the games, skip this step.
Run Zandronum and play the game:
- If you are playing online, it is recommened to configure your player settings in OPTIONS -> PLAYER SETUP, and your key configuration in OPTIONS -> CUSTOMIZE CONTROLS / MOUSE OPTIONS.
- For an enhanced server browsing experience, Doomseeker is the recommened server browser for Zandronum and comes with the installer version. Internet Doom Explorer is also compatible with Zandronum.

On Generic Linux based OS

Extract the tarball to the location of your choice.
Install IWADs to ~/.zandronum/ or other location if you modify the ini.
Run the included binary.

On Mac OS X

Open the dmg image and copy Zandronum.app and Doomseeker.app to your Applications folder. (If you wish to install to a different location make sure Zandronum runs from here first!)
Locate and install IWADs to ~/Library/Application Support/Zandronum/
Run Doomseeker to play offline or online.
